British beauty Adele covers Vogue UK

Proving that you don't have to conform to being a waif thin human being to be featured front-and-center of a fashion magazine, British songstress Adele lands the coveted cover of Vogue UK for their October 2011 issue. The proud curvy chica was photographed by famed fashion photographer Sølve Sundsbo in a lace Burberry dress and STUNNING make-up by Tom Ford Color Cosmetics.

My favorite thing about Adele is the fact that she is one of the few celebrity women who makes no apologies for looking different than everyone else, she feels comfortable in her own skin and won't apologize to anyone for it.
"I enjoy being me; I always have done." "I’ve seen people where it rules their lives, you know, who want to be thinner or have bigger boobs, and how it wears them down. And I just don’t want that in my life."
The witty 23-year-old announced, during her interview with Christa D'Souza, that if she were to become the face of anything "it should be full-fat Coke!". No matter what price she is offered to endorse any product, she promises it won't be enough.

Adele has taken the world by storm and being in such high-demand is definitely coming at a cost to her. The constant touring has caused her to cancel shows due to severe cold and chest congestion.

We wish her lots of health and a speedy recovery!

To snag your own copy of Vogue UK, you can purchase it starting Thursday, September 8th.

  1. notice the cover doesn't show her body though, it's still vogue, they won't do it, sorry adele and sorry to burberry, can't even tell its a dress

  2. I will not deny that you are right Anonymous. But there are plenty of thing stars who also get either a close-up shot or quarter for a magazine.

At least Vogue UK is going in the right direction.

  3. hopefully next time they decide to show a curvy chica they will angle the camera in the right direction as well and actually show the fashion that the person on the cover is wearing.
