Hot or Hype: The Kardashian Kollection for Sears

You will have to excuse me but I'm not one of those krazy Kardashian fans that are willing to buy anything these girls are peddling. The three sisters Kourtney, Khloe and Kim Kardashian have teamed up for a special line in collaboration with Sears aptly called "The Kardashian Kollection."

The line hit 400 Sears stores for the launch in August in collaboration with Bruno Schiavi's Jupi International. Each sister inspired designs based on their personal clothing preferences, which includes Kim's red carpet glam, Kourtney's bohemian chic vibe, and Khloe's rocker style. Products will include a ready-to-wear apparel collection, handbags, lingerie, jewelry and footwear.
Fashion is such a huge part of my life and I'm thrilled to have had the opportunity to design the Kardashian Kollection with my sisters and Jupi. We worked really hard to create an incredible, price friendly collection and are so excited to see our fans' reactions to the designs," said Kim Kardashian.
The other day I was looking over the items on the Sears website and to be completely honest, I wasn't impressed one bit. Also, Kim mentioned in her statement that their collection would be "price friendly," but the price points are a bit high.

Take this as an example:

From the photo of the sisters above the prices are as follows:
Kourtney: Total for look (not including shoes or accessories) $185.97 + tax if you buy before the sale ends on September 3rd.  For an outfit from Sears!!  No disrespect to Sears is intended in the least but when you think of their store, you do not connect it with such expensive items!

Women's Lace Button Up Shirt w/Oversized Neck Bow MSRP $96.00 (On sale for $66.99 until 09/03)
Women's Stretch Wide Leg Trouser MSRP $72.00 (On sale for $49.99 until 09/03)
Women's Peak Shoulder Blazer MSRP $99.00 (On Sale for $68.99 until 09/03)

Khloe: Women's Jersey Wrap Top Jumper MSRP $99.00 (on sale $68.99 until 9/3)
Kim: Women's Spot Mesh Panel Dress MSRP $99.00 (on sale $68.99 until 9/3)

The Annie Leibovitz adverts certainly made me give the line a second look but none of the items made me want to run out and make a purchase.  Mind you, I am a fan of Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney's real life fashion choices, at least the majority of the time!

In all fairness though, I have only seen the pieces via the web!  So to be fair, I will head over to my local Sears over Labor Day weekend and try on a few things and see how they look. More importantly, I want to inspect the materials used to ensure that it's not going to fall apart after one use.

Do you plan to pick up any of the items from the Kardashian Kollection?

  2. That is basically my point. The prices on this collection are out-of-hand! I did a post on the J-Lo collection for Kohl's showing the price points for some of the items.

They are slightly better priced. I also mentioned on both stories that I would have to check out material and structure on each to really judge.

  4. Good for you for letting them know how you feel! Just FYI, those sale prices that you saw are only until September 3rd.

I'm going to assume the prices will go back to MSRP when the sale is over.

  5. Sale or no sale, the prices are still ridiculous. It's affordable if you make the type of money the Kardashians make and my bank account can't even touch theirs lol
