What I Wore: Estee Lauder luncheon honoring Joan Smalls

This week I attended an amazing event hosted by Estée Lauder where they honored their first Hispanic Global Spokesmodel, Joan Smalls.

Since it's just us girls here I feel comfortable telling you all that I was feeling a bit bloated that morning so I knew I was going to have to wear something that wasn't going to let everyone else in the room in on my secret. I grabbed my Cowl Neck Black Dress by Furor Moda which I paired with my fabulous nude, Charles David heels, to help elongate my short legs.

[Side Note: My heels were a steal at just $30.00 from TJ Maxx!!]

It wasn't my first choice to wear a LBD to such an amazing event, but I was in the company of some fabulous chica's who came through with some brilliantly colored outfits.

This photo shows Plumm TV's Jenny Starr Perez and I posing before the luncheon. She wore a flowy red dress from Zara and a cute pair of Rene Caovilla nude heels.

Another powerful chica I had the pleasure to chat with was Univision's Teresa Rodriguez who wore a chartreuse dress which she grabbed off the rack AND on sale from Neiman Marcus recently. I promise you, these photos do not do the color any justice! You need to see it in person to really appreciate this delicious shade.

Teresa finished her look with a pair of brown pumps and a STUNNING necklace that was obviously the focus of her ensemble.
Of course I cannot conclude this post without mentioning the woman of the hour, Joan Smalls who takes home top honors for her Givenchy dress and Christian Louboutin pumps.  The best thing about Joan was her glowing personality and humble attitude!  Traits that will always be with her no matter the outfit.

I had the pleasure to interview Joan about her new role at one of the biggest and most recognized brands in the world, her favorite products, and some other goodies.  You can find all the details at my entertainment blog, AccidentalSexiness.com.
