Laura Mercier Launches Matte Radiance Baked Powder

I recently participated in a Twitter chat where we discussed beauty and many of the women showed interest in learning about contouring with bronzer. So when I saw Laura Mercier's newest product, "Matte Radiance Baked Powder," I thought it would be perfect product to start experimenting with.

I reached out to my good friend Yanira Garza, a professional make-up artist and blogger at YaniraGarza.com, who shared tips on how best to apply this product and how to pick the perfect shade for you.

Garza, who works for major make-up brands including Laura Mercier said about the product:

"In the ten years in my profession, I have yet to be more obsessed with a bronzer than this one. In fact, because of my olive skin, I am able to use Bronze 3 as an all over powder. It smooths the skin, and has reduced the appearance of my pores. The fact that it is a semi matte, allows me to do this, no added unnatural "sparkle" that most bronzers have. It gives you a "lit from within" glow without the shine."

For tips on application, Garza suggests:
"To contour with this powder, go one shade darker. In my case, I would use Bronze 4 to contour my cheeks with the angled cheek contour brush. Anyone just starting out with make-up can do this because the brush is cut so that it does the work for you. Laura always says..."trust the brush". She designs them with the product in mind. You can also use the bronzer brush; thanks to its size you have more control."
Matte Radiance Baked Powder is already available at Laura Mercier counters and via their website here
