Fall Trend Alert: Burgundy Lips and Dramatic Cat Eye from L'Oreal Paris

One of my favorite times of the year is the start of a new season. We don't really get change of seasons here in Miami, but I adore seeing all the new beauty products, clothing, handbags, and accessories out in stores. As a blogger, we have the special opportunity to preview many of the items ahead of their launch or just as they launched. It's so much fun to check out the products and see what my favorites will be so that I can share with you all!

The L'Oreal Paris team recently hosted a beauty suite at the Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove for members of the media. They had a gorgeous breakfast spread waiting for us ahead of our beauty appointments. What breakfast would be complete without yummy mimosas? I wish I could start my morning like this everyday!

After catching up with my fellow bloggers, who I rarely ever get to see as often as I'd like, I sat down for hair and make-up from the pro L'Oreal Paris team. First they prepped my skin with the new L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Glow Renewal Facial Oil. Lately my skin has felt a bit try. Using the oil left my skin glowing and I was happy that the oil was light.  For my hair, I went with my favorite faux hawk look, which has recently become one of my go-to styles for red carpets or big events.

For make-up, I had two of the hottest fall trends --- burgundy lips and a dramatic cat eye. I honestly didn't think that burgundy lips would work with my coloring, but I was proven wrong. My makeup artist used a L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lip Liner to both line and fill in the lips followed by a swipe of L'Oreal Paris Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain for a punch of color. To get a similar look, try their above mentioned lip liner in either Lasting Plum, Truly Burgundy or Always Red and the Wet Shine Stain in Infinite Fuchsia.
She finished the look with L'Oreal Paris The Blackbuster by Infalliable and L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Butterfly Mascara. These are by far two of my favorite new products on the market. I've been using eyeliner my entire adult life and I had no idea how much better and easier it would be to use a fatter pen. The mascara helped get my lashes long with a nice curl when it normally is quite hard to get my lashes to curl.

So why were we getting glam so early in the morning? The L'Oreal Paris team invited us to attend the People En Español "25 Most Powerful Latinas of 2013" Luncheon! This is my second year attending as their guest and it's always such a great time. Just being around so many inspirational Latinas like Kate del Castillo, Candela Ferro, Lily Estefan, and Illia Calderon.
