Target Launches New Womenswear Collection Ámbar

Daniela Ramirez, Romina Nabhen, and Me!

Ok so the duck face is out but the new Ámbar collection is definitely in! This week, Target launched their newest womenswear line--- and their first--- with the Latina fashionista in mind. It features hot and trendy prints in flattering cuts for women of all shapes and sizes. As a Latina, I know that shopping for a curvier body type is difficult. Prints, for the most part, are something that I try to stay away from when shopping because I feel it makes me look bigger. But by incorporating the long stripe pattern in the pants I wore during a special preview in Miami Beach recently, it helped me look taller and hopefully a bit leaner too!

It was a honor to be chosen by Target as one of their featured Latinas because I don't think that my demographic is represented as much as it should be. I'm a busty woman with a short waist and big hips. Don't get me wrong--- I love my curves. But finding a pair of pants that fit and flatter my hips and my waist at the same time is quite a difficult task.

And if you take a look at my beautiful amigas Daniela Ramirez from Nany's Klozet and Romina Nabhen from My Life Mi Vida in the photo above, you can see that we represent the everyday woman. This is what I love about the Ámbar collection. You don't need to be Latina, or rich, to look and feel fabulous. The pieces are extremely affordable with prices falling between $16.99-$39.99 and are available via and at limited retail locations in Florida, California, Texas, Arizona, and New York.

Would you like to see more of the collection? Check out this fun video below featuring our day at the Sagamore Hotel on South Beach with fashion expert and TV host Rodner Figueroa.

The only thing that was missing from this fabulous day was a special appearance by Bullseye, Target's adorable mascot! Come on out and play next time pup..... ;)

  1. Congrats on being a featured Latina! I couldn't agree with you more on the state of the blogosphere and the lack thereof of curves. I'm going to have to try this line out - I too shy away from patterns and can't wait to see them on.

    1. Glad you agree Tanya! So far girls will "regular sizes" are represented as well as plus size. I'm somewhere in between. Don't shy away from patterns girl-- ROCK IT!
