Bobbi Brown Encourages Women and Girls to be "Pretty Powerful"

Mariflor Maranje, Bobbi Brown Make-Up Artist at Dadeland Mall
I know I've told you guys before about how difficult it was for me to find makeup for my skin tone while growing up in the 90's. Bobbi Brown was one of the only brands back then who catered to women like me and I've been addicted to her products ever since.

Have you ever had trouble finding the right shade of foundation or the perfect shade of red that works with your undertones? I've found that the best way to find out is to go to a professional. Yes, even as a beauty writer, I find myself interested learning about new products and how to apply them properly. No shame in my game!

"I believe all women are pretty without makeup, but with the right makeup can be pretty powerful" ~ Bobbi Brown

Did you know you could visit any Bobbi Brown counter and get a free lesson? I sat with makeup artist Mariflor Maranje at the Dadeland Mall in Miami for nearly an hour to learn all the latest tricks and check out all the goodies for spring. I also met and fell in love with the brand's Skin Foundation Stick--- my super new BFF! I can apply foundation without getting my hands or fingers dirty?

During my lesson, I was introduced to Bobbi Brown's Limited Edition Pretty Powerful Mascara  ($25) whose sales benefit Girl Rising, a global action campaign to help girls in the developing world get in school and stay in school. Not only do you get a powerful mascara in a pretty pink tube, but the fund receives 100% of the proceeds.  CLICK HERE TO BUY NOW!

If you're a local Miami chica, go and see Mari at Dadeland immediately for your lesson. Ok, call first and make sure she will be there or she can hook you up with an equally fabulous artist to help you out. If you see the photo above, you'll notice what an amazing job she did for me! I love that my final look is natural and my skin was glowing. I also learned that I would benefit from switching to peach blush over the shades of pink I had been using.
