Spring Awakening

One of my favorite seasons of the year is spring because of everything it represents. I've noticed this trend of "new beginnings" in my own circle of friends so I can imagine this might be happening to more people than I'd every be able to count.

I'm not sure what has cause this shift, although as an avid follower of the zodiac, I feel like maybe there is something in the cosmos affecting people all over the world. Whether you believe in all that are not is really not the point. If you have actively wanted to change something about yourself, I can't think of a better time to get started than spring.

Spring: verb to move or jump suddenly or rapidly upward, forward, or from a constrained position
Spring: noun the season after winter and before summer, in which vegetation begins to appear

Notice all the keywords in the definitions above and allow yourself to start making the changes you want to see so that new situations can flourish in your life. They don't even need to be big things!

I recently went to my local Sherwin Williams store to pick out bright colors for my bathroom. I will admit to being intimidated since I'm so not a DIY person, but by reaching out of my comfort zone, I learned a lot about what colors can bring more light into your home (and in turn your life), how easy it is to change your atmosphere with something so minimal like painting or redecorating. Do not be intimidated by change--- you can do it!

Start small: Clean out your closet, review your beauty products and throw out expired items or any that you don't use, go over your social media accounts and delete anyone who brings negativity into your life, unsubscribe from newsletters and advertisements that you don't read and create clutter in your inbox, empty your fridge and cabinets of expired food.

No matter what your short/longterm goals are, change can be good but you have to take the first step. Good luck!
