Celebrate Dia de los Muertos the Miami Way

Are you looking for somewhere to celebrate "Dia de los Muertos" in Miami? The Ritz-Carlton is celebrating in a big way and they didn't forget about Broward residents. Both their Key Biscayne (455 Grand Bay Drive) and Fort Lauderdale (One North Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd) locations will have parades and private altars offering food and beverages on November 1st, 2014 starting at 7pm.

If you decide on heading over to Key Biscayne, the party will take place at their scrumptious Mexican restaurant, Cantina Beach. (You can see my interview with executive chef Andres Parlange via NBC 6) Take in the decor at Miami's only oceanfront Mexican restaurant while enjoying light bites, vibrant performers, and a DJ spinning by moonlight.

For more information or to make a reservation for dinner, call (305) 365-4500.

If you'll be joining me over at the Fort Lauderdale location, they'll have Mexican-inspired bites, performers, and specialty priced cocktails. You are encouraged to wear a costume, so I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of beautiful Catrina's and many El Catrin's to admire.

For more information, call (954) 465-2300.

On a side note: My fabulous friend Crafty Chica has some fantastic tips on how to do your "Dia de los Muertos" make-up. She also has a line of products at Michael's that just launched their fall 2014 collection. More information via this link.
