The Summer Never Ends with Botran

I have a love/hate relationship with summer. As much as I love tropical drinks, pool parties, and flower prints, the sun and humidity get to be pretty intolerable.

Ever since I moved to Los Angeles, I'm surprised at how much I miss about Miami. Revisiting these pictures of the fabulous Botran Rum event held at Larios on the Beach isn't making it any easier! I had the pleasure of joining brand ambassador Emilio Estefan and a group of journalists on a trip to Guatemala to visit Botran's distillery a couple of years ago. I've been hooked on the premium rum ever since.

I've honestly never made any type of fancy cocktail with it because the flavors are so good, I didn't want to ruin it. So having a top mixologist show me how to do it properly, really opened up a whole new world to me.

With a bottle of Botran in my bar, I can live anywhere in the world and be instantly transported to my fun days in Guatemala and Miami. Want to join me? Check out some of my favorite recipes that require very few ingredients and even less steps. If I can do it, so can you.

Enjoy!
